EL NIDO, PALAWAN

Is in the Philippine municipality of Palawan Island.   It's known for white-sand beaches, coral reefs, and as the getaway to the Bacuit archipelago, is a group of islands with steep karst cliffs.  Miniloc Island is famed for clear waters of its Small and Big Lagoons.  Nearby Shimizu Island has fish-filled waters.  The area has many dive sites, including Dilumacad Island's long tunnel leading to an underwater cavern.

HOW TO GET THERE:

From Manila Philippines there's a  lot of cheap flights going to Puerto Princesa and it takes 1 hour and 20 mins flights to Puerto Princesa  via Cebu Pacific  cebupacificair.com or Philippine Airlines www.philippineairlines.com or Philippines Air Asia  www.airasia.com.  From Puerto Princesa to El Nido by land takes 5 to 6 hours via Van stop only once or via Roro Bus and Cherry Bus.  Both these two companies operated in San Jose Terminal  which is  7 kilometers from the airport.  In our case we booked our El Nido and Puerto Princesa Tour Package at Shadows and Travel Tours shadow888.com.  It is the most convenient and hassle free travels all you need to do is hop in their shuttle van and they will transport your to El Nido Hotel/accommodation.
